Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 until Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet town located on the West Island, which is part of Montreal's island. Many people who don't know they mistakenly believe it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually it is the West Island includes everything westward of that city Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there although her time within the city was brief. Brugel had a childhood in Courtice close to Oshawa in Ontario. She had a dream to become professional, however due to a rapid growth spurt she outgrew all of her dancing partner. The article she wrote about her experience revealed that was published in the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. As I grew older than my male partners I stopped. Many former dancers turn to acting, and Brugel wasn't an exception. A drama teacher in her high school was able to push to Brugel into the direction she was looking for. Her teacher encouraged her to try out as Anne for their school's annual production. After some trial and error it, she was cast as the leading lady in Anne of Green Gables. This Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in 2000. Since then, she's appeared in 60+ productions both with big screen and smaller ones. She gained the most notoriety when she got her character of Rita of the acclaim-winning series The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor during Season 1 of the series and not seen much.
